CHICAGO (TOC) — Waukegan police mentioned an officer fatally shot a person who was armed with a knife and hammer and had a gasoline can strapped to his chest throughout a dispute together with his neighbor Wednesday.
Police mentioned officers have been known as to the 1000-block of Glen Courtroom at about 12:45 p.m. for a dispute between neighbors. The caller instructed police one of many neighbors was making an attempt to begin a chainsaw and had gasoline.
When the officer arrived, a wood fence separating the neighbors’ property was on fireplace. The officer acquired his automotive’s fireplace extinguisher to attempt to put out the fireplace, however when approached the fence a person in his 20s, who police mentioned was armed with a knife, a hammer and had a gasoline can taped to his chest, walked towards him.
