UPS driver charged with stealing $187K in Louis Vuitton packages

CHICAGO — A UPS driver has been charged with stealing $187,000 price of high-end retail packages from his route and dropping them off at his South Aspect house, in keeping with Chicago police.

Pedro Caudillo, 26, stole packages of Louis Vuitton merchandise over a two-week interval in April, in keeping with a police report.

Video surveillance allegedly exhibits him taking the packages from the South Loop UPS warehouse. Caudillo would then drop off the packages at his house within the Again of the Yards neighborhood, in keeping with the police report.

The police division’s Organized Retail Crime Process Drive started surveilling Caudillo on Wednesday and noticed him steal three packages price $35,000 earlier than his route, police stated. Officers then allegedly noticed him drop them off at his house.

He was arrested after finishing his route and consented to a search of his house, police stated. Officers discovered the stolen containers and different baggage of Louis Vuitton merchandise price $100,000, police stated.

He was charged with felony theft over $100,000.
