Toddler hit by car, killed while riding mini scooter in Lincoln Square ID’d

CHICAGO — A driver struck and killed a 2-year-old boy using a mini-scooter in Lincoln Sq. Thursday night.

The boy was using throughout Leavitt Avenue at Eastwood Avenue shortly earlier than 6 p.m. when a girl driving a Mitsubishi struck him, Chicago police mentioned.

The kid was taken to Lurie Youngsters’s Hospital and pronounced lifeless that night, police mentioned.

He was recognized as Raphael Cardenas by the Prepare dinner County health worker’s workplace Friday afternoon.

The driving force, a 24-year-old lady, has not been issued citations, police mentioned. The investigation remained open.
