Tampa TSA finds ’emotional support’ boa constrictor in luggage

The Transportation Safety Administration says {that a} traveler tried to carry an “emotional help pet” boa constrictor snake via safety.

A spokesperson for the company tweeted that the incident occurred at Tampa Worldwide Airport in December when a lady had the snake, named “Bartholomew,” in her carry-on bag. The snake was detected when the bag went via an x-ray machine.

The spokesperson mentioned that TSA contacted the airline, which mentioned that she couldn’t carry the snake aboard the plane.

Based on the company, the snake is 4 toes in size.

“There’s a hazard noodle in that bag… Our officers at Tampa Worldwide Airport didn’t discover this hyssssssterical! Coiled up in a passenger’s carry-on was a 4’ boa constrictor! We actually don’t have any adder-ation for locating any pet going via an x-ray machine,” the TSA mentioned in an Instagram put up.
