NYC man killed after stumbling off subway platform

A 60-year-old straphanger was killed when he stumbled backward after getting off the subway in Queens — and the practice hit him because it left the station, cops stated Sunday.

The person had simply disembarked from an E practice on the Jamaica-Van Wyck Station round 11:30 p.m. Saturday and was on the platform when he stumbled onto the tracks. The practice then struck him in his head because it left the station. 

The person, whose id wasn’t instantly launched, was taken to Jamaica Hospital however couldn’t be saved, police stated. It was unclear what brought on him to stumble, a police spokeswoman stated.
