NAPERVILLE, In poor health. (TOC) — The DuPage County State’s Legal professional’s Workplace stated Monday it believes a lethal June police capturing, during which an officer shot and killed a person holding a hatchet in west suburban Naperville, was justified.
Naperville police launched video of the incident, displaying an officer shoot a person, who ran at him with a hatchet.
The capturing occurred on June 3 throughout a site visitors cease, close to Bond Avenue and McDowell Highway.
The video exhibits one other automobile pull up, and a person get out and instantly cost on the officer with a hatchet in his hand. The officer then opened hearth.

The person, recognized as 28-year-old Edward Samaan, died at a hospital. The officer was not harm.

The state’s legal professional’s workplace stated the officer fairly believed the person was making an attempt to kill him or the topic of the site visitors cease.
No felony prices will likely be filed in opposition to the officer.

The officer concerned stated he “had a crazed look in his eyes.”
