CHICAGO — A person using a scooter was struck and killed by a truck Thursday afternoon in Austin on the West Facet.

About 3:15 p.m., the 35-year-old was using a scooter and entered the intersection of Cicero Avenue and Erie Road the place he was struck by a truck touring south, Chicago police mentioned.

The person was transported to Stroger Hospital the place he was pronounced lifeless, police mentioned. He has not but been recognized.

No citations have been issued.
