Man killed after being shot, run over by gunman’s car in Marquette Park, Chicago police say

CHICAGO — A person was killed after being shot after which run over by the gunman’s getaway automobile Monday morning in Marquette Park on the Southwest Aspect, Chicago police stated.

The person was inside a car within the 7000 block of South Maplewood Avenue when somebody stepped out of a dark-colored automobile and opened fireplace round 8:10 a.m., police stated.

The person, 40, stepped out of his car and was then struck by a shooter’s automobile because it fled the scene, police stated.

He was taken to Chris Medical Heart in Oak Garden with a number of gunshot wounds and pronounced useless.

Police stated nobody was arrested.
