Man dies after being pulled from Lake Michigan near Southeast Side

CHICAGO — A person died after being pulled from Lake Michigan Thursday close to the Southeast Facet.

The 21-year-old went into the water with pals about 8:10 p.m. within the 9800 block of South Walton Drive, Chicago police stated.

He was pulled out of the lake by the Chicago Hearth Division and brought to Trinity Hospital, the place he was pronounced useless, police stated.

Detectives have been conducting a loss of life investigation.
