Highland Park shooting: Community opens up about healing in aftermath of parade tragedy

HIGHLAND PARK, In poor health (TOC) — Within the aftermath of the Highland Park taking pictures, residents have begun to open up about how the taking pictures affected them and the way they’ve begun to reside with the trauma.

Liz Turnipseed, who suffered a gunshot wound through the parade taking pictures, spoke completely with ABC7 Chicago. Turnipseed recounted the second she was shot and the consequences of her harm.

The taking pictures claimed the lives of seven individuals together with dozens of others being injured. Highland Park Mayor Nancy Rotering and state Rep. Bob Morgan mentioned how the mass taking pictures has impacted the Highland Park group and surrounding areas.
