Harry Potter first edition book to be offered in private sale at Christie’s in London

A primary version of “Harry Potter and the Thinker’s Stone”, with some errors and signed by creator J.Ok. Rowling, goes up for a non-public sale at Christie’s in London, with the public sale home inviting provides ranging from $250,000.

The publication is one among 500 hardback copies of the e-book that have been printed in an preliminary run in 1997. 300 of these have been despatched to libraries.

The one being bought by Christie’s, as a part of its upcoming “The Artwork of Literature: Mortgage and Promoting Exhibition”, is among the many different 200.

“There have been a couple of issues that they appeared to get flawed within the e-book manufacturing,” Mark Wiltshire, a specialist in printed books and co-curator of “The Artwork of Literature” exhibition, advised Reuters.

“On the again cowl, as an illustration, philosophers, which in fact is sort of a key phrase… is misspelt ‘philosphers’, that ‘o’ that second ‘o’ is lacking.
