Gurnee, IL car crash today: Jeep SUV crashes into Route 132 tree line near Greenleaf Street, killing 3, police department says

GURNEE, Sick. (TOC) — Three individuals have been killed in a fiery north suburban crash early Sunday morning, police mentioned.

A Jeep SUV caught fireplace after crashing right into a tree line alongside Route 132 close to Greenleaf Avenue in Gurnee at about 2 a.m., police mentioned. Responding officers discovered the Jeep and referred to as the Gurnee Hearth Division to extinguish the flames.

Officers realized three individuals contained in the Jeep died. Officers have been unable to establish them on the time.

Investigators with the Main Crash Help Staff responded to the scene and aided with the crash investigation. Grand Avenue, between 1st and North Greenleaf streets, was closed in each instructions in the course of the investigation.

This crash stays underneath investigation by Gurnee police. Officers haven’t offered additional details about the incident.
