CHICAGO (TOC) — Lanes have reopened on northbound DuSable Lake Shore Drive close to McCormick Place after a wall collapsed onto the roadway Monday night time.
Chicago officers stated the northbound Stevenson Expressway ramp to northbound Lake Shore Drive reopened about 7:20 a.m. Tuesday.
The Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority stated a piece of the brick on the retaining wall bordering McCormick Place’s Lakeside Heart and DuSable Lake Shore Drive buckled and fell.
The particles fell onto DuSable Lake Shore Drive, totally on the shoulder with some particles within the right-hand lane.
There have been no reported accidents, however there was some minor car injury.

Site visitors within the space was blocked whereas crews labored to wash up the particles. Crews labored to stabilize the wall, as properly.
What brought on the wall to break down was not instantly clear.
