Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx’s office responds to recent resignation by James Murphy

CHICAGO (TOC) — The Cook dinner County State’s Legal professional’s Workplace is responding after a number of current resignations.

James Murphy, a now-former Assistant State’s Legal professional, detailed considerations concerning management and choices that have been being made in his resignation letter, obtained by ABC7.

Murphy wrote partly, “I’d like to proceed to battle for the victims of crime and to proceed to face with every of you, particularly within the face of the overwhelming crime that’s crippling our communities. Nonetheless, I can now not work for this Administration. I’ve zero confidence of their management.”

In an announcement to ABC7 Tuesday night time, Kim Foxx’s workplace stated, “We acknowledge the trials of this troublesome work and the toll that it bears, but over 11-hundred staff present up each day to work on the entrance strains and behind the scenes in a testomony of the resiliency and spirit of this workplace.”
