Chicago shooting today: Man shoots suspected burglar at Chinatown home on West 24th Place, police department says

Man who opened fireplace has legitimate hid carry license, CPD says

CHICAGO (TOC) — A person shot a suspected burglar at his South Facet dwelling on Monday evening, Chicago police stated.

The taking pictures occurred within the Chinatown neighborhood’s 300 block of West twenty fourth Place at about 6:37 p.m., police stated. A 32-year-old man was arriving dwelling when he noticed a 30-year-old man burglarizing his dwelling.

The 32-year-old, who has a legitimate hid carry license, fired photographs, placing the burglar within the abdomen, police stated. The 30-year-old was transported to the College of Chicago Medical Heart in good situation.

Detectives are investigating the taking pictures. Police didn’t present additional details about the incident.
