Chicago shooting: Teen shot near 79th Street CTA Red Line station days after man shot and killed on train, police department says

CHICAGO (TOC) — A teen boy was shot and critically damage close to a CTA Crimson Line station on the town’s South Aspect on Monday afternoon, Chicago police stated.

The capturing occurred outdoors the 79th Road Crimson Line station in Chatham at about 4:15 p.m., police stated. Two individuals, together with a 17-year-old boy, fired photographs at one another.

The teenager was shot within the higher physique and transported to the College of Chicago Medical Middle in essential situation, police stated.

The opposite individual, who’s male, fled the scene, police stated. Space Two Detectives are investigating.

The CTA stated Crimson Line trains are operating, however should not stopping at 79th Road as a result of police exercise.
