Chicago shooting: Boy, 17, charged in man’s Logan Square death on California Avenue

CHICAGO — A 17-year-old boy has been charged with fatally capturing a person within the Logan Sq. neighborhood in January.

The teenager, who wasn’t named by police due to his age, was arrested Wednesday and charged with first-degree homicide within the Jan. 9 killing of Donovan Duffy.

Duffy, 23, was strolling on the sidewalk about 2:15 a.m. within the 2700 block of North California Avenue when somebody fired from a silver automotive, police stated.

Duffy was struck within the face and brought to a hospital in crucial situation, officers stated. He died every week in a while Jan. 16.

The teenager was anticipated to seem in court docket Thursday.
