CHICAGO (TOC) — A robber with a machete tried to assault a person within the Irving Park neighborhood Sunday evening, Chicago police mentioned.
The robber approached a 52-year-old man strolling on the sidewalk within the 3700-block of North Troy Road at about 9 p.m., police mentioned.
The suspect tried to strike the sufferer with the machete, which precipitated the sufferer to fall to the bottom, police mentioned.
The sufferer then threw his pockets into the road to distract the suspect and ran from the scene, police mentioned.
The suspect additionally fled the scene. Police haven’t mentioned if the theft is expounded to different robberies involving a machete.
