Chicago fire on Winnemac in Uptown leaves woman dead, CFD says

A 63-year-old lady died after a hearth over the weekend, Chicago fireplace officers mentioned Monday morning.

CHICAGO (TOC) — A 63-year-old lady died Monday after a hearth in Uptown over the weekend, Chicago fireplace officers and the Prepare dinner County Medical Examiner’s Workplace mentioned.

CFD tweeted about 11:10 a.m. Saturday that fireplace crews responded to a blaze within the 1300-block of West Winnemac Avenue and put the hearth out.

A male firefighter needed to be taken to Illinois Masonic medical heart, and a feminine civilian was taken to Swedish hospital after the incident, Chicago fireplace officers mentioned.

About 8:30 a.m. Monday, CFD tweeted that there was a fatality related to the hearth.

The Prepare dinner County Medical Examiner’s Workplace mentioned Lynn Fung, who lived on the identical block the place the hearth occurred, had died.

The Chicago Fireplace Division Public Training Division handed out smoke detectors within the space later Monday morning.
