CHICAGO — A person has been charged with making an attempt to lure a younger lady who was strolling to Jamieson Elementary Faculty on the North Aspect Monday morning, in accordance with Chicago police.
Yahya Rashid, 24, was arrested the subsequent day in Chicago Garden and charged with felony baby abduction, felony possession of a stolen automobile and two misdemeanor counts of theft, police stated.
The lady, 12, was strolling west within the 2600 block of Bryn Mawr Avenue when a person in a white four-door Honda pulled up and signaled her over together with his hand, police stated.
The lady continued strolling and alerted faculty employees members, police stated. The person then circled the varsity at 5650 N. Mozart St. a number of instances and parked outdoors on Mozart for an undisclosed period of time, police stated.
Police stated Rashid, from West Rogers Park, was driving a stolen automobile when he was arrested. He allegedly had stolen gadgets that had been taken Might 7 within the 5000 block of North Clark and the 5400 block of North Winthrop.
