Chicago art teacher at Taft High School wins 2022 Golden Apple award

CHICAGO (TOC) — Jennifer Trejo, a trainer at William Howard Taft Excessive Faculty in Norwood Park, is certainly one of 2022’s Golden Apple award recipients for excellence in educating.

Trejo teaches artwork to tenth, eleventh and twelfth grade college students on the faculty, together with AP and IB courses. She is certainly one of 10 Golden Apple recipients in all of Illinois.

The Golden Apples are handed out to academics which have lasting optimistic results on their college students’ lives and their faculty communities.

“Working with college students within the arts, whether or not it is performing or visible arts, they get an opportunity to attempt to take an concept that’s of their head and make it come to life,” Trejo stated.

Every winner will get $5,000 in money and a spring sabbatical.

The Golden Apple Basis is an Illinois non-profit devoted to supporting academics.
