Boy, 16, charged in Princeton Park shooting that injured woman near Red Line stop: Chicago police

CHICAGO (TOC) — A 16-year-old boy has been charged in reference to a taking pictures Tuesday night time close to a CTA Pink Line cease in Princeton Park on the South Facet, Chicago police stated.

The teenager was arrested simply after 6:45 p.m. within the 9500-block of South Forest Avenue and charged in reference to the taking pictures of a 27-year-old lady minutes earlier within the 9400-block of South Lafayette Avenue, CPD stated.

Responding officers rapidly discovered him, and he was charged with aggravated battery/discharge of a firearm and possession of ammunition and not using a legitimate FOID card.

The girl was not on the Pink Line platform when she was shot within the arm about 6:45 p.m., Chicago police stated Tuesday.

She was taken to the College of Chicago Medical Middle, the place she was in good situation, officers stated.

A weapon was recovered on the scene.
