Boating accident Chicago: 2 hospitalized after incident in Lake Michigan ‘Playpen’ near Oak Street beach, CFD says

CHICAGO (TOC) — Two ladies had been hospitalized in severe situation Saturday after a boating incident in Chicago’s “Playpen.”

The accident occurred in Lake Michigan close to Oak Road Seaside round 5:30 p.m., in accordance with the Chicago Fireplace Division.

A ship was trying to set anchor and malfunctioned, inflicting the boat to float, in accordance with the Illinois Conservation Police.

A 34-year-old Chicago girl and a 28-year-old girl from Washington, who had been close by on a raft, had been severely injured, officers stated.

The fireplace division stated they acquired a name for 2 individuals within the water, in order that they elevated their response and despatched 5 ambulances to the scene as a precaution.
