Back to school 2022: Chicago Youth Programs provides after school services to keep kids safe, on track through the school year

CHICAGO (TOC) — With Chicago Public Faculties returning to high school on Aug. 22, group organizations are working to maintain youngsters protected and engaged after the final faculty bell rings.

As a part of our Constructing a Higher Chicago digital collection, ABC7 Chicago sat down with Jeff Campbell, Government Director of Chicago Youth Applications and Rasheedah Badru whose youngsters are enrolled within the packages.

Campbell stated the CYP works to have interaction youngsters with a complete method that’s meant to spend money on youngsters for the long run.

“Most of the younger individuals you see in our program have been in this system since they have been infants,” Campbell stated.

Campbell stated that CYP affords companies starting from well being clinics, homework assist, tutoring and mentoring.

Badru stated the packages have allowed her to be a working mother over the past 10 years and have made certain that her youngsters are taken care of and no little one is left behind.
