11-year-old charged with attempted carjacking in Douglas; 2 teens charged in Lincoln Park carjacking

CHICAGO — An 11-year-old boy is accused of making an attempt to carjack a girl Monday within the Douglas neighborhood on the South Aspect, and two teenagers are charged with a carjacking in Lincoln Park the day gone by.

The 11-year-old is charged with one felony rely of aggravated tried vehicular hijacking with a firearm, Chicago police stated.

He tried to take a car by power from a 48-year-old lady within the 3400 block of South Giles Avenue, police stated. The boy was arrested moments later across the block, within the 3500 block of South Calumet Avenue.

The boy was anticipated to seem in juvenile courtroom Tuesday.

On Sunday, two boys 17 and 14 carjacked a 40-year-old lady in Lincoln Park within the 2200 block of North Orchard Avenue, police stated.

They have been arrested hours later and charged with one felony rely every of aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm, police stated.
